Gearbox Replacement
The hoisting mechanism is the heart of any crane system. It ensures that loads are lifted safely – and over time, the heavily stressed gearboxes can show signs of wear. That was recently the case again: we sourced replacements and successfully swapped out both gearboxes, each weighing four tons. At the same time, the hoist motor was overhauled and fitted with new bearings. To minimize disruption to handling operations, the entire job had to be completed within four days. Thanks to precise planning and the dedication of everyone involved, we got it done – on time and to full satisfaction.

Fault Resolution
It can happen at any time – a crane stops working as expected. Our hotline gets the call, and we take action – 24/7. Sometimes it’s just a fuse or a motor protection switch. Other times, we’re replacing an 800-kilogram whee l or a key electronic component. Whatever the issue, we’re ready.

Crane Procurement for DGT
Our work on crane technology at the Duisburg Gateway Terminal began long before operations started. How large should the cranes be? What loads need to be moved? What technology will be used? There were many questions to answer and tasks to complete before the first containers could be handled. We reviewed technical drawings, verified structural calculations, and oversaw production. We supported transport logistics and supervised installation on-site in Duisburg. The highlight for everyone involved: the final safety inspection – a true team achievement.

Introduction of a uniform crane management system
The uniform use of our S.I.S. system at four locations has enabled us to standardize and optimize the processes of the heterogeneous crane fleet. This allows our customer to perform comprehensive benchmarking and continuously optimize systems and processes. In addition to increased performance, operating, maintenance, and training costs have been reduced. Furthermore, internal and external service personnel can now be deployed flexibly across all systems.

Wear and noise reduction through soft landing
Our customer decided to retrofit seven existing crane systems from different manufacturers with our assistance systems. Our active soft landing system used 3D lidar sensors to reduce wear and noise through precise load height detection. This relieves crane operators at critical points and stabilizes handling performance.
