Road logistics: fast, flexible, reliable.

Maximum accessibility, minimal transit times, and highest efficiency in the transport chain: The Port of Duisburg is not only the world’s largest inland port, but also an excellently connected logistics hub with direct access to the European motorway network.

The advantage of the duisport logistics hub

Thanks to direct connections to the A40, A59, A3, and A42 motorways, the Port of Duisburg serves as both the starting point and destination for trips to Europe’s most important economic centers. Investments in alternative propulsion technologies

duisport participates in projects promoting alternative drives and the conversion of its vehicle fleet to electric mobility. Additionally, solar solutions for energy generation are being installed on buildings in the port area. The first charging points for electric trucks have been implemented at logport I, with the number of charging stations set to increase steadily in the coming years.

Improvement of transport infrastructure

To relieve residents and optimize traffic flow, new bypass roads are being constructed between the port areas and the motorways. These measures reduce heavy-duty traffic in residential areas and help lower noise and emissions.

Promotion of digital solutions

duisport relies on digital technologies to increase efficiency in logistics. Through intelligent traffic management and digital platforms, empty runs are reduced and the utilization of transport resources is optimized.
